Tree of Africa Foods Inc. was formed in memory of our beloved brother, Moez Shariff, from Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania. He was very well connected in the community and helped build several networks and connections not only in Tanzania, but around the whole world. His dream was to build a connection between Tanzania and Canada but his sudden passing held his dream still. It is our desire to fulfill his wishes and build this connection between the two nations, to help grow the economies, build networks and to provide business solutions to the populations at large.

Tree of Africa Foods Inc. aims to build business solutions between the emerging markets and the developed countries. By connecting the supply chain and bringing Africa to North America, our company's goal is to bring back the quality of agricultural products, alongside the sweet memories of back home!

     

Shelina Jaffer is the founder of Tree of Africa Foods Inc. As the sister of Moez Shariff, her goal is to fulfil the wishes of her brother to create international business connections between Tanzania and the western world. By using her expertise in Finance and Business Management, alongside her brother's strength in agricultural development, Shelina has established a company that imports agricultural commodities from Tanzania to Canada.

Karim Jaffer is the co-founder of Tree of Africa Foods Inc. Without his support, it would have been very difficult to take the step into the international markets. As a transit operator and supervisor for over 30 years in Calgary, AB and Ottawa, ON collectively, Karim has an enormous network and skill base that allows him to adapt easily to any situation he is placed in. He has established dozens of small businesses in the last 30 years, with Tree of Africa Foods Inc. being his most recent investment.
